Right now, Costco is selling Xbox gift cards for 20% off, and you can get a maximum of $400 worth of them per member (or more if you have other authorized members on your membership). That means you can get $400 worth of gift cards for a total out-of-pocket cost of $320, which you can use for anything from the Microsoft store online, including Windows laptops, Xbox game consoles, games, and game passes.

From now through Jan. 1, Costco is selling $100 Xbox gift cards and four-packs of $25 both as digital downloads for $80 each. There’s a limit of two items per member, and you need to log in to view the full deal. The gift cards are available “while supplies last,” which seems like odd phrasing for a digital gift card, but your Costco might also carry them in store. Non-members are able to purchase the $25 four-pack gift cards online for an extra 5% surcharge, which works out to $200 worth of gift cards for $170. The digital gift card codes arrive by email “within the hour,” per Costco.

How to make the most of the deal

If you also have a family member or friend authorized to use your membership, you can take this even further. Because the deal limit is per member, not membership (you can read the terms and conditions here), they can get their own $400 worth of gift cards, too. You can also easily add them to your membership to take advantage of the deal.

G/O Media may get a commission

You might think $400 worth of Xbox gift cards is a bit excessive, but if you’re shopping for a new console, this might be the perfect time to pull the trigger.
