Where to Find a Slew of Free Food on Veterans Day

If you’re a veteran or active-duty member of the military, there are a bunch of retail chains—more than 30, by our count—that are offering free food this Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11. All you need is proof of military service, and you can partake in as many as you’d like.

Here are some of the best deals we found:

Applebee’s is giving away a free meal from a limited menu (dine-in only, drinks not included), plus a $5 discount card that applies for dine-in, takeout, or delivery orders.Ben’s Soft Pretzels‏ will offer a free pretzel on Veterans Day.BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse will offer military members a free entree from a limited menu, for dine-in only.Bob Evans is offering a free entree from a limited menu, for dine-in only.Buffalo Wild Wings is giving a free order of ten boneless wings and fries, for dine-in or takeout.California Pizza Kitchen will hand out a free dine-in entree from a limited menu, with non-alcoholic drinks included. They’ll also offer a buy one, get one free discount card that’s redeemable from Nov. 12-20.Chili’s is offering a free meal from a limited menu on Nov. 11 (beverages not included).Cracker Barrel will hand out a free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake as part of a month-long promotion.Denny’s will offer a free “Build Your Own Grand Slam” meal (dine-in only) on Veterans Day, from 5 a.m. to noon. Dunkin’ is offering a free donut to veterans and active duty personnel at participating locations.Famous Dave’s will give away a freeFree Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich plus a side dish to former and current military members, valid for in-store dining or takeout (at participating locations only).Fazoli’s is offering a free regular spaghetti with either meat or marinara sauce, Nov. 10 - 11, at participating locations.Friendly’s has a freeAll American Burger with fries and a beverage, for dine-in only.Golden Corral will offer a free “thank you meal” from 5 p.m. to close. Mission BBQ is giving away a free sandwich on Nov. 11.Olive Garden will offerone of five free entrees, along with unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks. Outback Steakhouse is promoting aFree Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage available for dine-in or takeout orders done by phone.Perkins Restaurant & Bakery will offer a free Magnificent Seven Breakfast Meal for veterans and active military personnel. Red Lobster is giving out a free appetizer or dessert from a limited menu for dine-in only on Nov. 11. Ruby Tuesday will give out a free sandwich, along with fries or tater tots, at participating locations.Sizzler Restaurants will offer a free lunch to service members and veterans until 4 p.m. at participating locations. Lunch includes a choice of 6-ounce steak, Malibu Chicken, or Jumbo Crispy Shrimp, along with a free beverage and choice of side.Smoothie King is offering a free 20-ounce smoothie at participating locations. Starbucks will give away a free 12-ounce hot coffee at participating stores on Nov. 11. Texas Corral will offer a free meal from a limited menu, as well as any soft drink or coffee.
