In case you weren’t aware, it’s nearly October, which means it’s almost time for Halloween. But you don’t need me to remind you of this fact; instead, just read the press release highlighting Paramount+’s schedule for the month, which inserts multiple puns (“A View From the Eeeeeeeek!”; “Peak Screaming”) to to distract you from the fact that, outside of the addition of a pair of direct-to-streaming scary movies alongside a lot of older ones, it doesn’t have a lot going on during the PSL season.

On Oct. 6, the streamer will debut Monster High: The Movie, another entry in the storied tradition of movies loosely based on toys—in this case, the weirdly proportioned dolls that happen to look like sexy teenage monsters. If your enthusiasm for the franchise cannot be sated by a single film, Paramount+ is also getting 17 more related specials.

Meanwhile, Significant Other (Oct. 7) follows a couple (Maika Monroe and Jake Lacy) who encounter some scary stuff during a woodsy hike in the Pacific Northwest. Who says horror films need a hook?
