Here's Where You Can Still Buy Mother's Day Flowers

Heads up: Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 14. Right now, it’s still not too late to order your mom something awesome from Amazon Prime, or even go out and shop for the perfect gift. If you’re tight on time (or you’re coming across this article on Saturday night), you can also always fall back on the one gift that pretty much all moms love: flowers.

If you want to send your mom a bouquet to commemorate the day, there are a ton of options out there. Keep in mind, you’re probably not the only one trying to make this happen under the wire, so the sooner you make that purchase—read: stop what you’re doing and just order something now—the better. Ordering early means better selection and ultimately better, probably less expensive, flowers for your mom.

Still, if you’re coming in at the final hours, here’s a rundown of a few places that will do things last-minute for all us procrastinators:

Bloom That

I’m personally a fan of Bloom That because of the cool burlap wrapping it uses for its bouquets. Come on—that’s pretty cute. Bouquets start at $32 and can be sent with next-day delivery nationwide, and delivered same day in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and New York City.

Bouqs

Bouqs is another favorite here at Lifehacker. It offers bouquets starting at $36 that are sustainably sourced from eco-friendly farms. You can use the service to send Mom flowers for the big day, and if you’re really gunning for the position of Child of the Year, you can set things up so that she receives a new bouquet every week or month going forward. Bouqs typically offers one-of-a-kind bouquets on demand in as little as two hours, but expect them to be busy come Saturday.

From You Flowers

From You Flowers offers same-day delivery of flowers across the United States starting at $34.99. In order to get things delivered same-day, you’ll need to make your order by 3 p.m. Saturday (which, let’s face it, if you haven’t pulled that off, you’re already in trouble). They also have some gift baskets available, although those can get a bit pricey. A set of 12 chocolate-covered strawberries, for instance, costs $54.99.

FTD

FTD was the service my mom always used when she would send flowers. It works with florists around the country to deliver “Flowers in Hours.” In most cases, if you place an order by 2 p.m. local time where you want the flowers delivered, they’ll arrive by the end of the day. Special timing does apply to weekends and holidays, of which Mother’s Day is both, so you’re better off ordering as early as possible if you go this route. Pricing starts at around $40 for a bouquet that includes a vase.
